Doctors Confab
The doctors will meet Friday morning with the Social Worker to discuss whether mom can remain in the hospital or is moved to a nursing home for the remainder of her recovery. We hope she stays there as they work with her 3 times a day... and it's closer for dad. Obviously Medicare wants an update as she has now been in the hospital for 4 and a half weeks. We'll keep you posted.

The biggest thing will be whether or not she has made progess. That is they only way they will let her continue in rehab. Is she still on heparin? If she is considered unstable (closely monitoring the PT and PTT) that should qualify her stay as well. Kathi
ReplyDeleteShe is still on heparin. I think they consider stable but with the head pain not much progress on the PT. I will know more in the morning.
